I purchased a Daily Deal voucher in which I purchased a discounted package.  How do I redeem this?

Please create a profile under DanceFIT Studio's Mind Body Registration System.  Please e-mail info@dancefitstudio.com indicating you have an online login and include your voucher # and what company you purchased it from.  The classes will be added to your account and you can preregister at your convenience. 

How many clients do you allow in a class?

We allow 24 clients in regular classes.  If the class is full you will be placed on a wait list and alerted the moment a spot is available. If a class has less than 3 clients pre-registered we reserve the right to cancel the class by 3 PM the day of the class.  You will be alerted by e-mail and the class will go back onto your mind body account.

If I sign up for a class online & cannot attend, will I be charged for the class?

Yes, but you can go online and remove yourself 90 minutes before class and you will not be charged. 

If I can't register online, can I still drop in?

We don't have a receptionist or too much time in between classes, which is why we prefer that you register in advance. 

What should I wear?

There is no dress code for adult classes.  It is best to practice dance and exercise in clothes that are comfortable.  You need to be able to move freely.  Ballet clothes & ballet shoes are encouraged for all ballet classes.

Where can I buy ballet shoes?

Please purchase your dancewear from www.discountdancesupply.com. Enter Gina's teacher code for a discount & to give DanceFIT Studio rewards: TP30691. If you would like to purchase dancewear in person, we recommend Dancers Image in Newton or Dancers Warehouse in Wellesley.

What should I bring to class? 

We have extra mats, weights & resistance bands for you to use at no additional cost.  Please bring a bottle of water and your own mat if you have one. The majority of our adult students prefer to bring their own mats.

How often does the schedule change?

The adult dance & fitness schedule is ongoing and every few months we add classes and change the class times to allow more flexibilty and different workouts for your schedule. We advise you to check the schedule every week and reserve your space before coming.

Can I extend my package if I can't make it to all the classes in a two month period?

If you have purchased a 5, 10 or 20 class package it is only valid during the 2 month period.  No exceptions are made to roll over your classes.  Please plan accordingly when purchasing your package. A drop-in fee of $15 for adult classes is available if you are uncertain of your schedule.

As an adult I have never danced before, but would like to try a dance class, will I feel out of place?

It's never too late! We offer a wide variety of dance classes for adults, you're sure to find one that will be a perfect fit for your dance level. We are known for our easy, fun, fitness-based relaxed atmosphere, where you can progress at a pace that is comfortable for you. And yes, we welcome men as well as women!

Do I have to be in really good shape for these classes?

DanceFIT Studio is not competitive and there absolutely no judgement within the walls of our classes. So come prepared to sweat as you find the edge of your physical and inner strength. We challenge each participant to their maximum potential.

What if I am working with a previous injury or medical condition?

Always check with your health care provider prior to starting any new exercise regimen. Tell your instructor about the injury or medical condition, she will let you know if there are any safety tips which you should be mindful of. Also, work with the limits of your injury. Forcing your body will not heal it. Be sure to inform the instructor of any injuries or limiting conditions you may have. 

Can I workout if I am pregnant? 

Please e-mail or speak to me if you are pregnant. All of our classes can be modified safely for your pregnancy.  Gina has taught classes during both of her pregnancies (up to 37 weeks), and she will spend extra time keeping your baby bump healthy and comfortable!

What is your snow policy for adult classes?

In the event of inclement weather, dance and fitness classes may be held even though school may be cancelled.  To confirm class status call 857-225-1888 and check our online schedule.  There will be no refunds for such cancellations; for adult classes, we encourage you to come workout another night during the week. If a workshop is held that evening, there will be a make-up date or a refund issued.


Can I register my child during the middle of a session?

DanceFIT Studio has a policy of ongoing registration. If there is an opening in your child's appropriate level, students may enroll at anytime during the school year. Please e-mail us for approval and class availability.

Why is your children's program grouped into sessions?

The majority of our ballet students are enrolled from September - June.  We split it into mini sessions to accomodate a more flexible pay schedule and allow new students to enter. 

How old must a child be to begin the ballet program?

Your child must turn three within the session.  We are sorry, no exceptions.

How many children are in a ballet class?

We fill our classes to a maximum of 16 dancers.  If the class is large, there will always be two qualified teachers.

Can I watch while my child is dancing?

Regular dance class sessions are open to spectators.  Please respect the quiet environment and refrain from cell phone conversations and bringing noisy toddlers.   We do not require parents to stay.

Do you have a recital?

We do not hold a formal recital.  We will hold an in studio performance during your child's last class in June 2011.  There is no costume fee, but we will have a minimal fee for head pieces.  Your child will receive a certificate of accomplishment award at the end of their performance.

Can I make up missed classes?

Due to increasing enrollment in children's classes, we do not allow make-ups.

DanceFIT Studio classes operate out of a beautiful large shared space at Church of Our Saviour.  Classes are held upstairs in the Parish Hall. Please be quiet and considerate when entering and exiting the building; many other events are held here. 

Do you have barres & mirrors?

We have free standing barres and mirrors to be used for all of our dance classes.  The floors are hardwood and appropriate for our level of dancing. 

Do you have showers & changing spaces? 

We have 3 restrooms, but no showers.


If I have a MindBody account at another yoga studio, can I use that account?

No, you will need to create a new account with DanceFIT Studio. You can use the same username, password and email address if you would like.

Is my credit card account information safe when I buy classes online?

Yes, our website uses the industry standard security for online websites including https with 128bit encryption. Your purchases are protected by McAfee Secure.
